A Day in the Life of Bridging Year Student
Online Lessons
Students engage in three online group sessions in the afternoon. All sessions are conducted in English. The programme lasts almost an entire school year and can run in parallel with other activities. The focus lies on self-discovery within the holistic SBL framework, helping students to move closer to their personal goals.
Shared Exploration
Mentors and students inspire each other with the shared aim of finding individual pathways. The programme fosters a conscious environment where each participant’s interests are at the centre.
Collaboration & Educational
At SBL, we strive for close collaboration with each student. We are the only school that fully embeds holistic education while maintaining high academic standards. SBL is an internationally recognised educational institution.
Mentoring
Each week, every student receives a personalized coaching session with their teacher and mentor. These tailored sessions are designed to help students achieve their personal aspirations while guiding them toward their short-, mid-, and long-term educational goals.
Self-directed and organised afternoon studies
Our students know that learning happens everywhere, at any time. In the afternoons, they work on projects, define action plans, and fuel their passion for learning. They value sharing knowledge with peers, teachers, and the wider community.
Empowered to take initiative, students lead extracurricular activities and collaborate online beyond school hours. They develop entrepreneurial projects, such as creating businesses, designing websites, and crafting social media strategies. Through these experiences, they become conscious, generative leaders of their own reality.
